IT Support Engineer

• Active Directory, Router configuration, Firewalls & Web-filtering.
• Delivering infrastructure and security solutions to schools across the UK.
• Portsmouth & Remote flexibility (2 days per week in the office)
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Up to £40,000 based on experience.

Would you like to be part of the solution to help in safeguarding schools online and help support best in class remote learning platforms? I'm working with a small but very well-established company based in the Portsmouth area delivering networking, cloud and broadband security solutions to schools and trusts across the UK.
As part of their continued growth, they are looking for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to work directly with the Technical Manager by delivering technical solutions for customers. The role will focus on designing, preparing, and implementing technical proposals, supporting presales activities, as well as handling installations and dealing with ongoing maintenance.

Key Skills:

• Experience in a similar role, a technical support or field based technical role.
• Experience with Web filtering systems.
• Good working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Firewalls and routing, Installation experience including Fortigate, Juniper and Draytek.
• Managed Services and client facing environment exposure.
• Exceptional communication skills!
• Successful applicant must hold a UK driving licence.

Beneficial skills:

• Exposure to BGP and SD-WAN technology.
• Linux systems and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Technical certification/training in networking, cloud-based systems.
