We are looking for an experienced engineering manager with a passion for continuous improvement & running an effective department.
Due to growth this is a new role to the business focusing on just one section of the plant you will have full autonomy with your budget, team and implementing robust PPM systems.
You will have responsibility for maximising the area output by the careful planning (and fulfilling) of PPMs, effective management of contractors and have responsibility for the stores & spares You will also manage and lead a team of Area Engineers, delegating their work schedules and day to day activities.
The role will involve around 30% hands on the tools & 70% hands off. Working as part of the leadership team we are looking for a team player with a proactive attitude.

Qualifications and attributes needed to be successful in this lead engineers role: - Recognized electrical or mechanical qualifications
- Higher level engineering / management qualification preferable.
- Understanding of PLC & computer controlled equipment
- Experience with CAPEX and CI projects
- Self-managing - Must be able to motivate a team.
- Flexible working attitude, as you will be required to work such other hours as the company may deem necessary.
- Sound communication & training skills
