About the School This School delivers a strong Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum, allowing students to study French and Spanish for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). Students explore authentic cultural content, such as literature, film, and media to enhance their linguistic skills and global awareness. Job Responsibilities Teach French and/or Spanish across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum. Evaluate and communicate student progress and achievement. Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom where all students thrive. Contribute to the development of the Modern Foreign Language (MFL) department and wider School initiatives. Support extracurricular language and cultural activities such as clubs or trips. Requirements A relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching languages at secondary School level - prior secondary School teaching experience is essential. Strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish, or other modern foreign languages. You must hold an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for it. A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning. Passion for languages and enthusiasm for engaging young people in global cultures. Two professional references from recent roles are required.
