QA Automation Engineer - London

Salary 35,000 - 60,000 GBP per year

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have strong practical experience with developing automation tests using Object Oriented Programming such as Java and C# - you will need to know and understand fundamental OOP principles, experience with BDD Cucumber and Selenium won't be sufficient
- Working experience with testing tools such as TestNG, Junit, Nunit
- Working knowledge of agile software development
- Working knowledge of defect management tools such as YouTrack, Jira, ALM
- Familiarity with Continuous Integrations (CI) tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins

- Day to Day:

- Develop automated API test cases using Java
- Maintain and extend our existing Java framework to provide support for new features
- Break down and write test cases to ensure complete coverage
- Be responsible for the quality during the product life cycle
- Reporting and managing defects through to successful resolution

We are looking for a bright, flexible and enthusiastic candidate to join our growing QA Automation team, to be based in either our Cambridge or London offices.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will write automated API tests using our in-house framework to provide optimal test coverage for the features you are responsible for and report any defects. You will work in a growing team of engineers from software development, automation, performance and QA teams.

The role requires a can-do attitude to tackle any feature, understand it and develop the tests for it. The candidate will have to work well in a small team and liaise with the development engineers, project managers and QA engineers to understand the requirements and use it to deliver a sufficient test coverage. We are looking for experienced candidates who can code with Java (or a similar OOP language) but are also expert in testing.
