We have an opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our team. You'll oversee our IMS team and associated activities which determine VolkerWessels UK compliance to applicable ISO/BS, legal, and corporate requirements plus CR / HSEQS monthly, quarterly reporting.

The Role

Based in Hoddesdon, and reporting directly to the ICT Test Manager, this role requires an individual who is flexible, adaptable and focused on providing excellence in Software Quality Assurance and Testing. Strong technical and analytical skills in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies,

The ability to think outside of the box and provide the best strategy to tackle issues when they arise. They will have excellent technical skills and a strong ability to communicate well at all levels of the business.

In addition, they will be required to take ownership of their work and then expand their scope of ownership and deliverables. Ensuring that thier work is carried out promptly, efficiently and effectively, while completing the necessary documentation where necessary.

As a ICT Tester, you will be involved in the quality assurance approach for our software development phases and deployment. This may include off the shelf' solutions, bespoke software applications, agile development and 3 rd party integrations. You'll conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and passes the testing criteria and successes factors, as defined by the business. Your role is integral part of the development process in ICT.

Key Accountabilities

• Working within your project team, create Test Plans which will identify the strategy, objectives, workflows and acceptance criteria outcomes for any given VWUK project .
• Work with the Development team to capture and re-use automated test cases, stubs, drivers and other test objects .
• Author Test Reports which will contain detailed and unambiguous results of testing, and present to project team for consideration .
• Conduct black-box Manual and Automated Regression, Non-Regression and Integration testing on Websites and API's .
• Follow Automation frameworks using a variety of different scripting techniques and tools, execut ing the tests and report the result in a concise and accurate manner .
• Perform a wide range of software testing techniques on VWUK's software suite, including Stress , performance and Functional testing . Support the business in completing UAT, and undertake such test when required.
