What to expect

Based at our principal design and engineering centre in Gaydon (CV35 0RR), offering a hybrid working model, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, technical Scrum Master in our Driver and ADAS Torque Arbitration Squad - working within the current Agile framework spanning both Chassis Motion and Propulsion Tech Centres based in Gaydon.

The Scrum Master will be involved with the development of 2 main functions - Longitudinal Motion Controller (LMC) and Propulsion Driver Demand Request. The LMC delivers the control for ADAS features covering High Speed Driving and Parking but also Off-Road control.

The Propulsion Driver Demand Request focuses on the Accelerator Pedal response, overrun torque requests, Torque Arbitration with ADAS and Wheel Torque Arbitration with the foundation braking system.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Coach the team members in self-management and cross-functionality
Help the Squad focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done
Remove impediments to the Scrum Team's progress
Ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
Participate in Sprint ceremonies and facilitate part of them
Participate in Scrum of Scrums (only when relevant and on ad-hoc basis)
50% of time as a Squad member: Contributing to the squad's delivery activities
50% of time as a Scrum Master: Review and refine Product and Sprint backlog
Resolving obstacles and align with other Squads if necessary
Ensuring the systematic "Value Assessment" for each option/ solution
Facilitate Retrospective with the Squad where performance improvement actions are defined

Key Performance Indicators
Mobilise Squad members on Agile ceremonies (in collaboration with the Agile Coach)
Ensure the Squad follows a consistent drumbeat
Support the Product Owner for backlog prioritisation and the Squad for backlog refinement
Define improvement actions based on Retrospective and Squad charts to improve team efficiency
Provide feedback to Product Owner on Squad teaming
Support the Squad in obstacle resolution

Desirable:
Experience and knowledge of Agile/ Scrum product delivery methodology
Experience of managing projects and stories in tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Experience of building and managing internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments
Prior knowledge/ experience of working within the Longitudinal Motion Domain or Vehicle Supervisory Control domain (VSC)
Experience and knowledge of ADAS features intended behaviours and implementation architecture
