What you'll do
We're one of the largest housing providers in the UK, our 44,000 homes give 90,000 people in London, the South East and the Midlands, somewhere affordable to call their own. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, customer and colleague focussed organisation as we prepare for our forthcoming merger with Southern Housing Group, planned for December 2022.
Our youth project, Motivate Health supports the personal development of young disadvantaged people aged 10-16 years within targeted wards in Hastings and St Leonards. We provide activities boosting health and well-being, education attainment levels & employment opportunities.
Optivo - Fresh Visions Charity are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, organised, highly motivated and passionate person to join the team - this role could be for you! This is a part-time position, working 18 hours per week and is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st December 2023.
You'll need to:
Co-ordinate and manage the delivery of young person-based projects and programmes
Recruit, support and oversee a small team of community volunteers
Manage, monitor, and analyse expenditure against budgets
Attend evening sessions, meetings, and work school holidays
Have a driving license and be able to travel and work between 3 different centres.
You'll have:
A youth work qualification, or equivalent would be desirable, or proven 2 years' experience of working with young people
Ability to work on own initiative
Be informed on current issues concerning young people
Strong organisational skills
Excellent customer service skills
You'll need to demonstrate:
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client group
Effective organisation and administration skills
Ability to draft clear and concise correspondence and reports
