Senior OD / LD Officer£42,795 - £47,805Location: Barnet

The RoleAn exciting opportunity has come up to work as part of the Councils growing OD and LD team This role works in close partnership with teams and services across the Council to develop learning and development opportunities and interventions for staff at all levels. You will be encouraged to use a wide variety of learning methods, bringing learning close to the work, and nurturing our learning culture. You will be focused on purpose, approach, and measurable impact. The role will manage multiple projects at the same time, often at pace and with complexity. Main Responsibilities: Lead, manage and participate in OD/LD projects to support delivery towards the service, team and organisation's purpose When managing projects / project teams ensure they are delivered within agreed timescales and meet specified requirements. Providing high quality advice and information to enable managers to make informed decisions and determine appropriate courses of action Be comfortable working across a wide range of stakeholders and be able to inform, engage influence, negotiate, collaborate, and present information both formally and informally to be able to move the work forward Think analytically and be able to develop interventions for all levels in the organisation, using a 70:20:10 approach to ensure learning is accessible, innovative and at its most impactful. Use and apply well thought through approaches to our work in Barnet for example using data, trend analysis and evidence to support professional thinking, provide critical challenge within the organisation and to inform continuous improvement. Design, facilitate and run workshops being comfortable to deliver in a face-to-face environment as well as online. Balance working at pace and managing multiple priorities, being flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the business.About YouYou will love variety as no two days will be the same. You will enjoy engaging and collaborating with staff at all levels across the organisation and working with them to develop learning solutions which best meet their needs. You are someone who can confidently design, develop and deliver OD and LD approaches, often facilitating learning in a variety of formats e.g., online, offline and classroom.

You will have a good understanding of the role learning and development plays within a large organisation and be comfortable with managing change. You will be a confident project manager with proven experience of delivering multi-faceted projects, working with, and managing stakeholders from across an organisation. You act positively, flexibly, and constructively, bringing energy and focus to the work.

The ability to work analytically with teams and services to help them identify underlying learning requirements, and collaboratively support them to meet and embed their learning. And a strong ability to create resources and learning materials and facilitate sessions.
