An exciting opportunity has just arisen for a Project Engineer to join a successful and leading client within the water industry. This role will be working closing with the Project Manager and project delivery team to successful deliver clean and waste water projects ranging in value. My client is seeking a candidate on a contract (long term basis) or permanent basis and in return for your experience, you will be offered a competitive salary plus excellent company benefits. The Role You will report directly to the Project Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include; Reporting directly to the Project Manager/Construction Manager Ensuring project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance Ensuring all applications for payment are made on or before the due date Ensuring contract reviews, monthly forecasts are completed and submitted on time Maintaining good client relationships at all levels Assisting with the Project Management strategy Establishing and maintaining the contract filing systems Assisting in the production of the contract programme; monitor programme and produce progress reports Providing data for the timely production of O&M manuals Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers Liaising with site management on design and procurement issues Monitoring subcontract performance Assisting in the preparation of the construction completion and take over documentation Ensuring your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations. Undertaking such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role Taking all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality Working closely with design departments to ensure timely progressing of quality solutions Evaluating innovative solutions and processes Contributing to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basis Ensuring designs are developed which are safe to construct, commission, operate and maintain Completing the capitalisation process The Candidate An industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent Demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries Incorporated Engineer qualification Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially I Chem E & NEC Engineering/ Technical qualification (HNC minimum) required Experience of supply chain expedition CDM & Health & Safety knowledge Relevant professional qualification an advantage If you would like more information on this position, make sure to apply with your CV today
