Let me introduce you to the world of Recruitment! Rogers McHugh are a dynamic Recruitment Company who specialise in the Construction sector throughout the UK and the US. Formed in 2020 we have had a fantastic start to our journey, and we are now looking to add a Trainee Consultants to our Construction division based in the York office.

The opportunities are vast, we have a structured profession plan to aim to get you to a fully-fledged Recruitment Consultant within 6 months. You can then work towards Senior, Principal and Managing Consultant, with live opportunities in our Perm and Contract teams.

Okay, but what is the role? You're probably thinking, sounds good but what will I "actually" be doing? Recruitment is the subtle art of finding the right person for the job and then getting that person to the job!

Your day-to-day will consist of:

• Speaking with candidates to discuss their career goals and motivations
• Speaking to clients to establish what their needs are#
• Arranging interviews for your candidates
• Beating the boss in a round of darts
• Spinning the wheel to win prizes based off performance
• Creating job adverts
• Learning and training to understand your market and become and expert! We have all the tools required to run a lucrative desk, reporting into experienced and successful consultants who will help you on your journey.

What qualifications will you need? Recruitment is not for everyone! It's a tough industry that requires resilience, hard work and a competitive nature. Essential skills you'll need:

• A good phone manner
• Good organisational skills
• Resilient and hard working
• Ability to build relationships/rapport
