Control System Engineer North West / Cheshire System Integrator - Permanent - £40-60k Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Control System Engineer with considerable experience of writing PLC software from scratch for a successful, Cheshire based systems integrator. The company operates mainly in the process sector and has project work in the utilities, water treatment, energy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries on the go. They re looking for a Control System Engineer who has been there and done it , someone who has a combination of strong programming skills and solid documentation experience, ideally Degree qualified with more than 5 years relevant experience. Some key points to consider - company operates in stable/growing industries such as energy and utilities, they're also keen to assist Engineers gaining Chartered status and they're moving to a much bigger, modern office which means growing the teams, opportunities for career development and working on exciting projects. Control System Engineer main activities include; Understand the project lifecycle from concept through to completion Produce specifications and design documentation Configure and develop PLC / SCADA software from scratch Test and commission safely in operational end user environments 80/20 split of being office based and working on site for short periods Technical competence in some of the following; Excellent knowledge of control system software design and testing Rockwell ControlLogix Siemens TIA Portal Rockwell HMI (FTView ME & SE) System Platform Schneider ClearSCADA The client encourages flexible working, they're delivery focused and don't have the politics that can sometimes come with larger organisations. They re open to helping with relocation and are keen to assist Control System Engineers in gaining Chartered status. This role will suit a Control System Engineer who has had the experience of working for a system integrator where full project life cycle involvement is an expectation. The Control Engineers work in brand new, state of the art office space and the company provides the best equipment, as well as a very professional environment for the engineering teams to deliver.
