We have a great new opportunity to join the Suffolk County Council (SCC) Public Health and Communities Directorate as a Project Manager (Community Safety), working from our HQ in Ipswich with hybrid working options including some working from home

The Directorate works as part of a wider integrated system alongside other Suffolk County Council directorates, Local Communities, District and Boroughs, Health and Care partners and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for local people.

Your role and responsibilities:

you will be a key part of the Public Health and Communities team working flexibly across services but with a focus on Community Safety but the opportunity to contribute to the work of the wider directorate
providing project management support across Public Health and Communities, working with internal and external colleagues to ensure multiagency working is efficient and effective across the Suffolk System, reducing duplication and making connections between teams and organisations
manage and develop data and intelligence relating to work across Public Health and Communities, ensuring best practice, learning, new legislation and guidance is cascaded to partners where needed.

You will need:

experience of Community Safety and the priority areas such as anti-social behaviour, hate preventing, radicalisation, criminal exploitation, modern slavery, domestic abuse, sexual violence and fraud
to be comfortable working at all levels and managing/requesting project outcomes from organisations outside Suffolk County Council
to be able to work to tight timescales and digest large amounts of information from legislation and guidance quickly and effectively to brief partners
to be flexible in your approach.
