The role
Making the move to Phoenix offers you the exciting prospect of being a key figure in a team of technical experts. You will report into the Head of Financial Crime Policy and Guidance and be part of the Group Financial Crime Management Team.
You will manage a team responsible for giving policy advice and guidance to insourced and outsourced business units.
In conjunction with the Head of Policy and Guidance you will provide leadership to the team to effectively carry out its responsibilities and to deliver its activities in line with the annual Group Risk Mission, Mandate & Plan.
You will be responsible for planning and managing a wide range of tasks including maintaining the Financial Crime Prevention Policy and risk-based approach, keeping up to date with changes to Financial Crime Regulations and Legislation and engaging with key stakeholders to update them on key changes.
The role also includes production of internal Governance reporting and Regulatory Reporting relating to Financial Crime and maintaining the content of the Financial Crime Computer Based Training to assist employees with their knowledge of financial crime prevention.
What are we looking for?
- A good working knowledge of Financial Crime Regulation and Legislation, (Life and Pensions industry preferred but not essential).
- Experience of developing and effectively managing a team.
- Previous experience of internal Committee/Board reporting and external Regulatory reporting
- The ability to operate autonomously and make decisions when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a great attention to detail.
- -Ability to make and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
