Salary: £42,000 - £61,000

Role Clearance Type: You must be able to gain and maintain UK Government clearance

About Your Opportunity:

As a Risk Manager you will drive the risk management process for a major Defence Programme.

You will interact closely with the project manager and other key stakeholders. You will perform regular senior management reporting on risk and opportunity developments.

Your Responsibilities:

Join multiple project teams to communicate and implement the risk strategy and act as the risk and opportunity management key expert
Facilitate risk meetings to identify, assess and manage threats and opportunities and review mitigation actions across multiple projects
Drive the implementation of risk and opportunity awareness
Providing guidance to the business on identifying and managing key risks, controls, metrics and issues
Analyse the current project risk registers to ensure process is being followed and implement corrective action where needed

Your Experience:

Proven experience of risk management, with an excellent understanding of risk management principles and techniques
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
Advanced user of MS Excel, and usual MS Office Suite
Resilient in character with strong ethical values and the determination to get it right
Self-Starter, and ability to use own initiative
