Tax - Accounting & Reporting Associate Director - NATIONAL LOCATIONS

This role can be based in any major city in the UK

Joining the team will give you the opportunity to develop strong relationships with senior tax and finance leaders across a range of industries, build your technical skills as new legislation and accounting standards take effect, work with the Audit service line to deliver high quality audits and manage your own portfolio.

The role

- To take responsibility for the tax specialist work on a portfolio of the largest and most complex audits undertaken along with a role focused on compliance and reporting clients.

- The scope of the role includes: tax accounting (IFRS, FRS102 and US GAAP)

- Working as a specialist as part of the audit team

- Managing relationships with client tax and finance teams

Primary Focus - Tax audit specialist

Provide deep tax accounting and tax technical expertise on a wide variety of issues across a range of sectors

Lead relationship with core audit team

Plan and improve processes and procedures for tax specialist teams

Be the main point of contact for client tax and finance team on tax matters

Manage a team of tax specialists including overseas

Secondary focus - Tax specialist

Be responsible for a portfolio of clients providing reporting and ad-hoc advisory advice

Complimentary role with the tax audit work with relevant experience taken into account when allocating projects and clients

Consideration given as to the split between primary and secondary focus based on experience and requirements

Experience required:

• In-depth knowledge and experience of IFRS, FRS102 and US GAAP tax reporting (in industry will be considered)
• Deep tax technical knowledge and experience of managing a portfolio of client
• ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification or experience;
• Previous tax experience, in industry or a professional services firm;
