What you'll be doingAs the
Revenue Assurance Consumption Analyst, you will work within a team of experienced analysts and system experts to extract data from the system, review current calculations, identify improvements and take ownership of the consumption reporting. You will be expected to work collaboratively to improve the accuracy of the reporting produced and to assure the data provided.Every day we supply 2.6 billion litres of water, but sadly not all of that gets to our customers. Minimising the water lost to leakage is one of Thames Water's key performance commitments. To calculate the leakage figure, information from multiple sources is combined and compared with data on water into supply.Household revenue is converted into consumption and property related information, which is validated and assured within the Revenue Assurance team, before submission into the water balance calculation. Reports are provided monthly and audited as part of the regulatory submissions process.This is a dedicated role within the team to match the increased levels of focus on this area. This pivotal role will work with both retail, wholesale and asset management teams to improve reporting, reduce gaps in our understanding, help to improve the accuracy of property data and to identify areas of opportunity to increase accuracy in our reporting of water consumed.
What you should bring to the role - You will have good literacy and numeracy skills and must be prepared to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
