Somerset West and Taunton Council own and manage 5,700 social rented homes. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our tenancy team.

We are looking for a case manager with the necessary skills, ability and behaviours, who is able to work flexibly as service demands require.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiast individual who is passionate about the delivery of housing services, with a good knowledge of housing law, managing both secure and introductory tenancies and tackling low level nuisance. You will be committed to empowering our residents to self-serve and will recognise that for most new tenants their first real contact with Somerset West and Taunton is when they sign up for their tenancy. Investing time to get tenancies off to the right start has an impact on sustaining a successful tenancy.

Good interpersonal skills, empathy and sound judgement are essential in this role. You will need to be organised and self-motivated but also a good team player. We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate an adaptable and flexible approach, a positive attitude, and an ability to work on your own initiative.

This role requires a valid, full car driving licence (Category B) with no more than six points on it.

Please note that the successful candidate may be required to undergo a DBS process.
