Job Description
The Role:Working for a successful construction company based in Malton, you will be working as a Service Engineer / Fitter - workshop based. You will have previous engineering experience working on a range of Plant Equipment such as; Excavators, Dumpers, Telehandlers etc, as well as a variety of construction tools. As part of the role you will also be required to service and repair their commercial vehicle fleet, vans, ford transit tippers ect, including preparation for MOTs and producing updated service schedules. The salary for this position is £35 - 40k per annum, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:As Service Engineer / Fitter - Plant, Tools & Vehicles, Your Job Role Would Include:
- PDI's, servicing & repairing plant equipment and vehicles
- Order spare parts and consumables as required
- Be organised and maintain the cleanliness of the workshop
- Complete administration tasks including service & repair records accurately
- Present a professional and positive attitude
- Maintain health & safety to HSE & company standards
Skills & Requirements:The Ideal Candidate for the Service Engineer / Fitter - Plant, Tools & Vehicles Role Will Have:
- Previous experience in one or more of the following roles: Service Engineer; Mobile Service Engineer; Plant Fitter
- You will need previous experience within the Plant / Tool Hire and Construction Equipment Industry
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to work without instruction
- Able to set and maintain high standards
- Good communication skills, both verbal & written
- Full UK drivers licence
