This is a 6 month contract.
What you will be doing - Raise the profile of Trunk Main Monitoring assets and other associated "Smart Water" initiatives throughout the business and the wider Water Industry
- Organise, manage, and improve relationships with Trunk Main Monitoring Framework partners and internal operational teams
- Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand and improve content
- Collect, organise, and interpret large datasets for a range of stakeholders and projects
- Actively drive, develop, and manage technical solutions and innovations
- Develop records management processes and policies
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
- Produce and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Develop and support reporting processes accurately and to required timescales.
- Monitor and audit data quality
- Gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
- Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools
- Create data dashboards, graphs, and visualisations
- Perform root-cause analysis and propose strategies to prevent future failures/ non-compliance
- Provide specialist technical support to the wider business in relation to Clean Water System risks
- Support the System Optimisation team in facilitating engineering and customer led projects
What should you bring to the role? - The ideal candidate will hold relevant experience in the water industry, data analytics, or is educated in a suitable STEM discipline, or equivalent.
- A working knowledge of hydraulic modelling, SCADA telemetry systems, GIS mapping systems, SAP & other corporate IT systems such as Microsoft Office 365 is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A Trunk Main Analyst must possess a growth mindset, with strong analytical, problem solving & negotiating skills.
- Teamworking is at the core of this role, as is the ability to work under pressure to meet demanding targets.
- Good communication and leadership skills are essential, due to the level of engagement with different stakeholders throughout the business.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate an extreme willingness to learn and work hard to drive their technical knowledge and professional goals within Thames Water.
- Work as part of the wider Water Control team, delivering a 24/7 service to our customers.
- Maintain continuous business awareness.
- Full driving licence and own transport is required.
