Water is essential to life, so our business is always open.What you will be doing?This role will be leading our engagement on water and wastewater asset risks with stakeholders across Engineering & Asset, Operations, and Capital Delivery. It will be responsible for developing and embedding good risk management practices through partnering and the delivery of training and communications.
  • Work with, advise and challenge the wider business, specifically operational, system planning, and capital programs, to consistently identify and assess risks to the delivery of our operational service and ensure appropriate actions are planned to minimise or remove risks
  • Develop and deliver training on best practice risk management to build internal capability
  • Delivery of effective, proactive, and targeted communications to build and enhance stakeholder engagement
  • Project management of key initiatives in the Integrated Asset Risk Programme
  • Lead and attend meetings with key internal stakeholders
  • Superuser in risk management tools to support implementation within the business
  • Provide support to the Engineering & Asset Enterprise Risk Champion, as required, to understand and manage the significant risks to the delivery of our strategic objectives
  • Develop and undertake assurance activities aimed at ensuring the implementation of best practice risk management in line with ISO55001 and ISO31000
We're looking for you to:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills so you can confidently influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders from our operational teams through to our leadership community
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, able to exhibit a dynamic approach to tasks
  • Experience in improving and implementing new ways of working
  • Practical understanding of risk and/or asset management principles
  • Experience using risk management tools (esp. APS)
  • Experience building and delivering training and assurance programs
  • An Operational or Asset Management background is preferred
  • Degree level is desirable
  • Professional qualification to the Institute of Risk management, Institute of Asset Management or other relevant professional body is desirable
  • Competent Microsoft Office Skills with a focus on excel and power point
