Job Description

Consult are working with a leading Ophthalmic care company, operating in both private and NHS hospitals. They are looking for Healthcare Technicians to join their highly specialized surgical teams. This opportunity has an emphasis on high quality patient care, ensuring a comprehensive level of care to all of their ophthalmic patients, as well as ensuring their family members and careers are consistently updated.

If you're an existing Healthcare Technician or Assistant that is looking for a patient focused business, that provide high levels of patient care, within a bespoke, purpose-built private hospital setting, then our client is one worth considering.

With significant growth plans already in motion for 2023, this opportunity presents a long term career pathway, there is also extensive training available to further develop individual skillsets within the optical industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in the delivery of high quality patient care throughout their pre and post operative journey.
  • Complete diagnostic testing on patients as required with a variety of specialist optical equipment.
  • Prepare consultation, examination and treatment rooms throughout the day, ensuring they operate efficiently.
  • Provide non-clinical advice, and administrative support as needed.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure patient and employee safety at all times.

About You:

  • Previous experience of working within an healthcare environment, or, ophthalmic sector.
  • Competent with basic life support.
  • Exceptional organization skills, with the ability to plan forward.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behavior with a consistently professional attitude.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong personal relationships.
