A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Vehicle Structures are responsible for the design and development of all Jaguar Landrover Body in White (BIW) Structures, employing a range of materials and techniques, e.g. sheet metal stampings, castings, extrusions, forgings and adhesives. We also manage the component and proto-type supplier base to ensure timing & project control is maintained.
We are one of the few departments in JLR which are fully 'make to print' and so are fully responsible for our own CAD and engineering and its quality

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Working on usually one programme at a time Managing and documenting all BIW specific testing requirements, physical and virtual to ensure and record compliance .
Liaison with all stake holders to ensure compliance with all structural and other targets
Working with Offshore CAD team to manage CAD based checks for key programme gateways
Coordinating with JLR Test Lab to carry out internal physical tests within programme timing
Coordinating with BIW proto parts team to ensure parts are available to build up test properties to required level.
Working with CAE team to ensure virtual testing compliance.
Liaison with other CoCs to support where required with their body test requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED

Knowledge and experience

Essential:
Experience of vehicle/ transportation test plans and requirement management.
Understanding of CAE reporting and results interrogation
Good communication and presentation skills to all levels
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
Engineering Degree qualification

Desirable:
Knowledge of FEA/ CAE techniques
Agile Knowledge/ JIRA use
Experience of automotive BIW design, stampings and body construction knowledge.
