Job Description

Role: Facility Planner (Inside IR35)

Location: Oxford

Full time: 37.5 hours weekly

Duration: Ending December 2023

Rate: Up to £28.82p/h Ltd/Umb DOE

We require a Facility Planner for our client in Oxford, you will be working with our global client, one of the world's most successful premium manufacturers of cars, motorcycles, and provider of premium services. As the Facility Planner you will be responsible for the project planning, installation and optimisation of assembly hardware and related logistics hardware systems to agreed cost and deadline targets. This covers the feasibility, specification, supplier selection, cost, quality, ergonomics, environment, and availability of the technical solutions.

As the Facility Planner your duties will include:

  • Procurement of the conveyor handling and storage equipment from the RFQ
  • Monitoring of the project and manufacturing progress at the supplier including detailed cost and schedule planning and monitoring
  • Site visits and meetings to identify potential hazards
  • Set-up of measures with regards to irregularities and interruptions and preventative measures
  • Internal construction management for the respective facility during the realization period
  • Service confirmations and release of payments
  • Monitoring of the rectification of deficiencies / open points until the handover of the facility to the operator

As the Facility Planner you should have the following skills and competencies:

  • Planning Degree/Masters
  • Relevant Knowledge including machine control, automation, robotics, and control engineering, building services, hydraulics, pneumatics, project management, IT networks, machine operator protection and health and safety
  • Good leadership and project planning skills, with good problem resolution techniques and preventative maintenance techniques
  • Good knowledge of VPS principles, and good office IT skills
