Mobile Electrical / Mechanical Engineer

Position: Mobile Electrical / Mechanical Engineer (Mobile) Location: 90% of role will be in Greater London. Candidates must be prepared to travel in and out of central London by any means and wider areas as and when required. Salary: Between £36,000- £38,000 (depending on experience) + tools, pension, overtime Full Time and Permanent- This role is 5 days a week (Mon Fri) will also be subject to being included on the call out rota (7 day period) which is 1 in 6 at present. MOBILE WITH VEHICLE THE COMPANY: My client is a Leading FM Contractor in the UK and other related support services business with an expanding client base across the UK. They provide Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance to various clients throughout the UK. They do this through their own engineers. They are now actively looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Electrician for the Greater London area. THE JOB: The role is to look after the planned and reactive Electrical Maintenance in Greater London. Other responsibilities will include: (not an exhaustive list) Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid down procedures Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary Prioritize maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times Order spares to the laid down procedures Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individuals technical competence and in accordance with current specifications You will also be asked to carry out other basic building fabric maintenance as and when required, such as changing a tap, unblocking a toilet, changing a lock, fixing a door etc. THE PERSON: To be considered for this position, the following qualifications and papers are required and are essential requirements of the role: Electrical qualified to City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 OR City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3 OR NVQ Level 3 18th edition qualified. Knowledge and experience of all electrical installations, including wiring, testing, issue written electrical test, minor works reports Good interpersonal skills and desirable: Time served Electrical Apprenticeship This is a very busy role and our client are looking for a fully qualified electrician but the person must be happy to carry out basic building fabric maintenance as well as all the electrical work. Plumbing experience is preferred.
