Joining the AA as a Project Manager, you will be a key member within our IT Roadside team by focusing on delivery and change with IT application and system integration projects within a wide portfolio.

You will the business to implement solutions using the latest technology to continually improve the service provided by the roadside patrols and related business areas. Projects that you will manage will range in size, scope and may be part of a wider programme of change.

This is an exciting time for the AA as we continue to modernise our products, software/systems and processes for colleagues and customers.

What will I be doing?
  • Overall responsibility for full project lifecycle through to delivery including managing budget, forecasting and project documentation
  • Identify, assess, and monitor risks, issues, dependencies and change requests to ensure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality criteria and solutions are cost effective, resilient and supportable
  • Manage appropriate IT and people resources to make recommendations with project delivery and implementation approaches whilst minimising risk and adhering to key SLAs, timelines, and cost objectives
  • Provide regular communications and updates with project status to stakeholders at all levels and wider project/IT teams - act as a key contact and escalation point for your projects
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve/enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of implementation within the Roadside portfolio
  • Create new and develop existing working relationship with all stakeholders i.e., Portfolio Managers, Project Sponsors and Executives etc.
What do I need?

Essential:

  • Strong experience working in IT Project Management, particularly Application Development and Systems Integration
  • Experience delivering a variety of large-scale programmes and projects understanding full project lifecycle and methodologies/disciplines
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with all stakeholders including Exec level
  • Creative thinker with keen problem-solving skills using an analytical approach
  • People and IT resource experience including third-party vendors/contractors and multi-functional teams within a commercial business setting
  • Able to work independently as well as a team managing time and prioritising workload
  • Driven to continuously improve, support new ideas/approaches, and deliver through excellence
