About the site
Ackton is our purpose built, state of the art banana ripening facility. Based just a few minutes up the road from our Head Office, here you will also find our Finance teams, along with a number of Operational based roles.
About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Ackton site near Normanton, West Yorkshire.
The key responsibilities of this role will be to provide accurate and prompt receipt, picking, packing and dispatch of the depot warehouse goods.
The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible upholding the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
Ensuring that all product is adequately labelled and stored at the correct temperature at all times and that the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse area, stores and outside yard and at an food safety standard.
Shift Pattern: 5 on 2 off - 7am - 3.45pm. Rotating on a 4 week rota. Please note this pattern does involve frequent weekend working.
Hourly rate: £10.80 per hour with the potential to earn up to £11.30 per hour with bonus.
Required Skills and experience:
As a Warehouse Operative you will have proven experience of working within a large, fast-paced Warehouse and an understanding of warehousing processes and procedures ideally within food production / fresh produce.
You will have good communication and team working skills, along with the ability to work flexibly and experience of working within a targeted environment and ability to work under pressure.
You should have good working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures and application within a Warehouse site
FLT/PPT licenses are desirable for this position.
