This role focuses on the technical definition, application and exploitation of an exciting breadth of new features, technologies and vehicle concepts. We interact across engineering functions and attribute teams to influence customer experiences and vehicle technology development.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

As a Vehicle Architecture Engineer, you will liaise with cross-functional teams to identify, define and develop high value customer experiences:
compile robust assumptions and data.
develop the requirements and features chosen for implementation.
Support management of the complex flow of changing information.
Support the simplification of our technology toolkit and technical delivery activities.

Throughout the engineering gateways act as the conscience for strategic architecture 'DNA':
Define clear & compatible assumptions.
Develop and maintain a 'future radar' for attribute strategies & technologies.
Work on the successful resolution of technical conflicts.
Ensure closed loop control of architecture bandwidth & assumptions.
Contribute to the reporting out in key technical meetings.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

Technical knowledge and experience of complex product systems and interactions.
Experience of technical analysis and demonstration of employing best-in-class processes.
Experience delivering and optimising innovative customer product solutions.
Proven ability to work with technical data and combine business skills with technical decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
High level of IT literacy incl project planning & visualisation techniques.
The ability to present data clearly and precisely to support decision making.
Familiarity with use of 3D CAD systems and technology benchmarking approaches & resources.
Relevant degree and experience in engineering or another highly technical discipline.
Knowledge of the broader industry including brands, mega trends, products and customer needs.
Thrive on change and be committed to transforming customer experiences and growing our business.

Desirable:

Whole vehicle & systems engineering experience.
Working knowledge of programme & project delivery processes.
Experience of Agile scaling or scrum methods, JIRA & Confluence, SAFe .
Aiming for (or achieved) chartered status, and seeking necessary broader business experience.
