Joining the AA as a Digital Product Designer, you will be responsible for the product, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our services and ecommerce journeys. You will work alongside, and collaborate with, other talented designers, content editors, product owners and developers to deliver an excellent customer experience across all channels.

You will identify areas for opportunities to improve and work closely with our User Research Lead and our Conversion Rate Optimisation Manager to plan and execute the right research to inform your design. Your portfolio will show your experience of achieving user-centred outcomes and business goals.

As a Digital Product Designer, you will be a natural collaborator, possess strong storytelling skills, and confident selling the value of design methodologies to stakeholders and mapping, designing and crafting quality end-to-end user journeys across app and web demonstrating a thorough understanding of design standards and principles.

What will I be doing?
  • Design new features across customer journeys and optimise existing experiences to boost visitor engagement and conversion rate
  • Validate designs with actionable data from a range of sources and contribute to style guides and design system
  • Work closely with Editors ensuring content is considered as part of the design process as well as Developers to deliver best possible customer experience
  • Present designs and explain rationale to senior stakeholders across all levels including Senior Leaders, Executives and Directors
  • Work closely with the User Research Lead and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Manager to gather insight
  • Also share and collaborate findings and decisions to the wider team and other impacted business areas to ensure all remain aligned on the journey
What do I need?

Essential:

  • Strong working experience within a similar UX/UI Design role with proven success in designing for the responsive web with skilled storytelling ability
  • Experience using a range of design tools i.e., Figma, Zeplin, AxureRP, Miro etc.
  • Possess proficient stakeholder management skills with the ability to present, challenge and influence decision making using a customer-centric mindset and approach
  • Knowledge of lean approaches, working closely with optimisation specialists and data analysts to drive evidence-based decision making
  • Experience of testing your concepts and designs
  • Familiar with working in agile/scrum environments and comfortable with understanding and using data and customer feedback to guide design decisions
