Full time Construction

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a non-contentious construction lawyer to join a renowned and impressive global hotel group.

Responsibilities will focus on commercial contracts for extensive, high-value refurbishments of hotels and developments for new sites and offerings. The role covers a variety of legal practice areas and involves assistance with other areas of the business as needed, including with other commercial contracts, property related matters, as well as with acquisitions of companies or assets and other prospective opportunities.

Knowledge of construction is required (e.g. understanding general contractor agreements, collateral warranties, third party guarantees, and basic knowledge of contractor "all-risks" insurance). Whilst contracts will primarily be under English law (and if not, external counsel will be used as needed), experience of working with lawyers in other jurisdictions and with clients/colleagues overseas is beneficial.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong academic background and trained at a highly regarded law firm with 4+ years' experience. Previous or current in-house experience will be beneficial. You will have the ability to work autonomously, think strategically and creatively and communicate clearly and precisely. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. You will be able to work in a team environment and become an integral part of the business.
