A multidisciplinary consultancy are seeking a dedicated Consultant Arboriculturist to join their expanding team. This position is based in Manchester and this company offer a wide variety of services such as Environmental, Planning, and Landscape with an ever-growing client base.
As Consultant Arboriculturist you will be working as part of the wider Landscape team and utilising your specialist knowledge in giving advice and support on a wide range of projects. You will also be involved in the planning process as well and completing surveys and reports. You will be working on exciting projects both large and small scale including woodland, rural, domestic, commercial, brownfield and urban sites.

Consultant Arboriculturist Position Overview
- Involved in surveying work on small and large scale sites
- Attend site visits as required
- Liaising with clients and local authorities
- Involved in planning stages and overseeing works as well as delivering reports
- Involved in Management Plans, Arboricultural Surveys to BS 5837:2012, Visual Tree Assessment (VTA), Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements
- Recording tree parameters comprehensively and efficiently and liaising with local authorities to identify legal protection of trees on development sites.
- Preparation and procurement of tree management works for land managers including Tree Works Specifications.
- Preparation of Woodland Management Plans to include constraints and opportunities in and around a woodland area.
- Assisting clients with advice on legal tree protection (Tree Preservation Orders and Trees in Conservation Area)
Consultant Arboriculturist Position Requirements
- Qualified within Arboriculture or relevant subject
- Previous industry experience ideal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Keep up to date with government legislation including Tree Preservation Orders and Trees in Conservation Area
- Experience in the use of digital survey equipment and software
- Solid understanding of planning policy's
- Highly numerate and literate
- Live within a commutable distance of Manchester
- Full clean driver license
Consultant Arboriculturist Position Remuneration
- Competitive salary (£28,000 - £38,000 DOE)
- 24 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
