Title: Field Service Engineer (high speed marine engines) Reference: 2029/3 Sector: Power & Propulsion Type: Permanent Location: Plymouth Salary: £35,000 Plus Overtime and Benefits HSB Technical s Power & Propulsion team have a number of vacancies for multiple businesses covering the UK and overseas. My client is a well-known marine engine servicing / overhaul and repair business they are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join the team. Working as the field service engineer, you will be responsible for servicing both commercial and pleasure vessel engines ranging from 150hp to 2000hp. You will be working in both the workshop and field travelling around the south with some nights away. HSB Technical s client is a very established and well-regarded entity within the Power & Propulsion Sector. Responsibilities (Brief Outline): Key Points; • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation applicable to the role • Carry out engine prep work taking receipt of new engines, prepping them for the customers • Carry out off-site service work on engines • Carry out on-site and off-site repair work on engines • Compile reports in a timely manner and to a high standard on the completion of each job • To use diagnostic tools and procedures and identify faults • Knowledge/Skills Required: • Ability to work alone and as part of a team • Experienced and knowledgeable in service, overhaul, repair and installation of marine engines • Experienced in diagnostic equipment/tools • Computer literate • Mechanical and Electrical Skillset Qualifications: • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Marine Engineering • Passport • Driving Licence This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role
