What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of Change Management, Release Management and Service Introduction Processes for IT Delivery. You will ensure efficient and prompt handling of change, coordination of releases and effective handover of projects in IT Service Operations.

You will support Project Delivery; preparing new and changed services for implementation and effective handover in IT Service Operations. You will work throughout the project lifecycle as a core member of the project team, coordinating service delivery teams and multiple vendors to ensure they are prepared to receive new and changed services.

Key Responsibilities:
Predominately focused on IT logging changes for departmental services, infrastructure, process, policy, finance, high level system changes
Receive, record, categorise and distribute Change Controls and arrange for authorisation or rejection within agreed timescales and at appropriate levels of authority
Ensure appropriate levels of testing have been successfully completed to assure the release is fit for use
Manage and distribute the Forward Schedule of Change and ensure all parties receive the maximum period of notice of any down time
Ensure early engagement with project teams for all small and medium sized projects to assist in planning for what is required to transition into the live environment
Generate and distribute release documentation
Review all implemented RFC's to ensure that objectives have been met
Use appropriate tools to track all changes and releases through SDLC
Ensure the correct resource is available and informed for all changes and releases
Working with third party support to schedule requested and required changes
Communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure changes and releases following the correct policies and processes
Generate and analyse reports to give recommendations for improvement based on trends

Skills:
Good communication with other departments within the business
Be comfortable managing a senior set of business stakeholders
Organised and a good ability to prioritise workload effectively
Ability to listen, build rapport and credibility as an IT partner vertically within the business unit or function, as well as with leadership and functional teams
Able to influence and motivate others
Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organisation
Able to make sensible decisions without feeling pressured
Experience:
Experience within Service Transition
IT background in retail or other relevant industry
Understanding of how IT works within an industry

Desirable:
A Technical/IT background with a good all-round knowledge of IT Services and Technologies
ITIL Experience or other relevant industry standard or framework background
