About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Distribution Centre in Hemel Hempstead as an an Operations Support Manager.
The purpose of this role is to provide full operational planning support to the site General Manager to enable the site to meet its budgeted operating and efficiency objectives, as well as supporting the Warehouse and Transport Teams.
Role Responsibility
Working closely with the GM to understand budgets and efficiency objectives
Ensuring the system configurations are set to optimum levels
Allocating appropriate labour plans to meet forecasted volume activities
Managing Stock and Admin Managers and Senior Operations Clerks
Liaising with internal departments to ensure efficiency objectives are achieved
Providing accurate Distribution Centre reporting and Warehouse layout is as efficient as possible
Overseeing Stock Integrity audits
Developing and maintaining a clear capability plan for the Retail Supply Chain
Ensuring the Distribution Centre runs smoothly and to plan during peak/seasonal activity
Ensuring the DC budget is completed and up to date, identifying cost variances and establishing root causes and detail accordingly
Implementing H&S measures necessary for protection of all staff
You will need
Understanding of Supply Chain Processes
Previous experience in FMCG/Distribution
Budget/finance experience
Previous people management experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in an ever-changing environment
Highly numerate mind, and Excel skills
Project management skills would be advantageous
