The Prototype Assets Test and Development team is growing and plays a major role in planning and delivering prototype assets to enable the wider engineering functions to conduct their Design Verification (DV) testing. As part of this multi-talented team, you will support the Lead Engineer to integrate end to end planning and delivery of the prototype test assets (vehicles and rigs) for Jaguar Land Rover vehicle programmes. As Jaguar Land Rover continues on its journey of "Road to Rigs", this role will be at the forefront of championing and deploying Jaguar Land Rover's strategy for less reliance on vehicles and more reliance on simulation and rigs to carryout DV. This role will involve working with multiple stakeholders within the Agile Methodology to support construction of an integrated and optimised test plan to deliver robust product on time to the right quality and budget. The role will suit career aspirants within technical project planning / management who likes to work with multiple stakeholders and being responsible for delivering and end to end program / project.

At Jaguar Land Rover, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees flexibility to be productive in an environment they feel conductive to be creative. This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and on Jaguar Land Rover sites. Hybrid working is agreed with the Line Manager and employees are required as and when to work on site as directed by the Line Manager. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
A key part of your role is to support in construction and monitoring the physical product test requests (Software, Electrical and Mechanical) to create and optimise prototype end to end test plans for vehicles and rigs for whole of the program. You will coordinate with wide range of stakeholders within Jaguar Land Rover and support the Lead Engineers in challenging the teams for justifications and promote use of rigs and digital simulation where possible to enable cost savings by producing a smaller number of prototype vehicles. You will support facilitation of stakeholders workstream plans creation and looking for dependency and timing disconnects and resolving issues by engaging with stakeholders at working levels, and support vehicle and rigs Prototype builds to ensure assets are built on time and to the desired quality to meet test requirements of the users who will conduct the DV testing. You will also develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders.

Experience

Previous programme delivery experience within New Product Introduction.
Experience of cross functionality working and problem resolution
An understanding of test methodology in mechanical and/ or electrical disciplines
Reporting and presenting technical data to Stakeholders

Desirable

Knowledge of test management tools
Previous experience in end-to-end creation of Prototype Assets Test and Development plans
Working knowledge of prototype rigs and vehicle testing
