Job Title: Test Engineer (Mobile lab)

Location: London wall (near Moorgate, St Paul's and Barbican). We work in a hybrid approach with 2 days per week expected in office and rest from home. We re open to providing flexible working though our hybrid working patterns.

About the role

Asa Mobile Quality/Test Engineer, you ll be working together with the QE Lead to continuously improve the quality assurance of ourMobile code base. To do this we follow our custom automation framework whilst completing manual device testing in sprint - covering functional and accessibility testing.You'll be required to collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and Product Owners to design elegant solutions and elegant tests to prove them. Your main objective will be to improve the quality of mobile app expertise across the team of Engineers and ensure we have a consistent and best quality approach.

About you

  • Someone with solid mobile testing background - including non-functional testing with a strong knowledge on Android and/or iOS platform
  • Experience in the creation of Functional Test (BDD, Cucumber), test plans, testing strategies.
  • Expertise in at least one mobile testing framework - Appium / Selenium
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Java or any OOPS language
  • Experience executing and maintaining large test suites
  • Ability to write test scenarios for Unit level, Functional and Integration testing, using open-source solutions such as Appium and Selenium
  • Hands on experience in Perform exploratory, accessibility and compatibility testing.
  • Good knowledge on Atlassian Test management tools JIRA, Confluence & ALM
  • Strong ability to learn and pick-up new technologies for continuous testing
  • Experience working in collaboration with non-technical business stakeholders to agree requirements, timescales, and acceptance criteria


The essential skills we re looking for:

  • Mobile/Tablet App QE expertise
  • Test Automation with selenium/Appium/BDD
  • API Testing
  • Good communication skills
  • CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Experience on cloud tool (like Saucelab, HeadSpin, Perfecto etc)
  • Knowledge on DevOps Tools (Jenkins, GIT etc)
