Leading Components Manufacturer has a new opportunity for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer. About the role: The position of Manufacturing Engineer requires creative, analytical and developmental thinking, as well as qualifications and experience in a relevant field of manufacturing. The planning, implementation, optimisation, and supervision of manufacturing processes are key requirements of this role. As a Manufacturing Engineer you'll take responsibility for the implementation and definition of processes, as well as the dispositioning and treatment (return to conformity) of non-conforming products, in order to support the strategic and operational requirements of the business. An essential skill is the ability to communicate with employees involved in all stages of manufacture. Duties may include: Responsible for ensuring all manufacturing documentation (route cards, BOMs, work instructions) are created and maintained, ensuring all applicable customer requirements are met. Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, ensuring that they are clearly defined and controlled effectively. Working as the Engineering point of contact for the Material Review Board, where you will be required to have a strong involvement in the dispositioning of non-conforming parts, as well as drafting/approval of concessions, rework sheets and all other associated actions/documentation to support operational activities. Managing the change review process (CRB), working within a board of stake-holders to assess the validity of proposed changes, and co-ordinating their implementation. Solving manufacturing problems, by establishing RCCA to resolve internal and external issues. Supporting CI (Continuous Improvement) activities, whilst maintaining a zero-harm culture. Regular, planned review of customer specifications, feeding back any updates into the manufacturing process via the CRB. Assist in the compilation of FAIR's Maintaining good working relationships with suppliers/customers, both written and verbally. Support in the collection of data for estimates, technical and manufacturing proposals. Support NPI activity, including, but not limited to, design reviews, input into pFMEA sessions, and the creation of technical documentation.Skills and experience: Degree, HND, HNC qualified. 1 years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, preferably in an Aerospace related environment. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T. Able to interpret and apply engineering, quality and H&S standards and specifications. Engineering/manufacturing focused with a commercial awareness. Computer literate including MS Office (MS Project is also desirable). Working knowledge of MRP systems, preferably Syspro.
