This leading independent accountancy firm in Leeds is looking for an exceptional Senior Tax Manager to join their team to lead the Corporate Tax arm for their portfolio of clients who are owner managed businesses. What are we looking for? Most importantly, this firm are looking to recruit a personable accountant with a great sense of humour and energy. It's also really important that the successful candidate knows their corporate tax inside and out and as such you'll likely be ACCA/ACA/CA and ideally also CTA qualified with several years' experience at a senior level in a tax team, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.

This Senior Tax Manager job in Leeds is suited to someone who already has strong corporate tax compliance advisory experience, is prepared to hit the ground running and support the leadership team with the mentoring and development of the junior staff and is a great communicator. An ambitious accountant looking to further develop their leadership career would excel in this post.

Job Purpose

• To provide high level corporate tax compliance and advisory services and calculations to a wide range of owner managed businesses.
• Demergers and disposals.
• Share schemes and venture capital schemes.
• R&D tax.
• Due diligence.
• Ensure client assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with the wider tax team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring awareness of their requirements.
• Recognise and respond to clients' business needs, providing quality tax advice on all aspects of assignments
• Empower the tax team through appropriate delegation and effective people management.
• Consistently seek internal improvement, presenting opportunities to senior leadership.
• Identify changes in Tax legislation and how they affect clients and promote new advisory projects.
• Support the leadership team with the mentoring and development of junior staff.
