You will be working at Sturt House, a recovery focused, rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for males aged 18 and over. Working as part of a team, you will provide individualised care and treatment utilising least restrictive practice principles and safe practice to support Service Users in their recovery.

You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Manage patients using evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living
Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis
Taking the lead within the Occupational Therapy. Monitors the activity budget and takes a lead on resource purchases.
Completing assessments, planning sessions and implementing intervention.
Evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Implementing and developing evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid mental health recovery.

To be successful in this role:

Current HPC registration and BOAT membership.
Experience of working within a similar setting
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
