The Employer
Part of an international group the company was founded in the mid 80's and provide Air Conditioning Solutions from initial survey, and design through installation, commissioning to handover and lifelong maintenance within the data centre, pharmaceutical production and healthcare environments.
CAD Design Engineer Requirements
Primarily the role of the CAD Design Engineer will be to support our sales team in the development of equipment sizing, design and estimating for the installation of VRV and VRF systems. The role is mainly office based you will be expected to travel within the UK & Ireland.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Full design and costing of HVAC solutions in line with customer expectations and tender specifications in CAD / Revit
- Calculation and evaluation of cooling load or air volume requirements and associated primary and supporting plant selection
- Development of supporting drawing/diagrams relevant to solution requirements
- Associated control system functional description
- Associated logistical and installation requirements along with practical risk and installation assessments
- You will be required to attend on site reviews with suppliers & contractors.
You will need to have:
- Proven experience of design and estimating within a HVAC environment (using CAD / Revit)
- Working knowledge of mainstream HVAC systems and networks
- Experience in HVAC solutions, primarily VRV and VRF installations
- Good understanding of Engineer Drawings (Mechanical and Electrical)
- Ability to manage and influence both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
CAD Design Engineer Remuneration
- Salary £35-40k
- Car Allowance plus mileage expenses
- Statutory Pension
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
