Red are looking for a
Rigger to join their client's business comprising of stand-out venues for conferences, events and exhibitions, an on-site production company and accompanying hotels. The Rigger's role is to manage all aspects of the rigging department, including attending client meetings, working with CAD drawings & sign off, planning and safe delivery of all aspects of the in house and external rigging projects. You will be working with the Rigging team to surpass the client's expectations and build client relationships. With no two days ever the same, they are looking for motivated people who enjoy a challenge and are passionate about being the best in their field.
Responsibilities include: - Offering technical advice to clients.
- Using CAD for design, planning and delivery of event rigging.
- Work with Rigging Supervisor & Project Managers to ensure all regulations and design elements are followed.
- Ensure safe rigging practices are followed.
- Training other team members to develop further in house rigging capabilities.
- Maintain and store all in house rigging equipment to a high standard.
- Ensure NRC and IOSH guidelines are adhered to
What are they looking for in the successful Rigger? - At least 3 years of rigging experience, ideally in an exhibition events environment.
- Must have NRC level 2 minimum qualification.
- Must be able to diagnose technical faults and arrange suitable repairs.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to physically install and connect all types of rigging and relevant power supplies for electrical motors.
- Working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft office packages.
- Experience in Autocad CAD or similar packages.
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage the rigging functions.
- Must have effective written and oral skills.
- Must have normal colour acuity.
- Must be able to read client technical drawings and plans.
- Must have an IPAF license or equivalent.
