Our client Lloyds Banking Group is a leading UK based financial services group providing a wide range of banking and financial services, focused on personal and commercial customers. On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for Risk Managers for an initial 6-month contract based remotely with an occasional travel to London/Birmingham/Edinburgh.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Risk manager you have to ensure that Group Sourcing & Supplier Management designs, operates and maintains a robust policy and control environment in line with the bank's risk appetite.

Group Sourcing & Supplier Management are responsible for crafting and operating a robust framework for the utilization of Supplier services to the Group and you can be a key part of that through involvement with a wide range of activities.

As a Risk Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Sharing informative, high-quality analysis, advice and guidance in a specific area of risk, to guide execution of control, tailored to senior partner needs.
  • Identifying improvements to existing business control practices.
  • Guiding development and/or delivery of a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or control process.
  • Working with industry tools including RCSA (IBM OpenPages), SAP Ariba and Service Now to support senior partners in the identification of emerging risks and trends through the end-to-end Sourcing and Supply Chain Management process.
  • Analysing and interpreting Management Information including Key Risk Indicators & trend identification.
  • Supporting the management and oversight of risk activities within RCSA to achieve fully embedded status, including action plans and continuous risk management.
  • Developing, maintaining, and interpreting Sourcing & Supply Chain Management risk foundation elements, including Policy, Procedures, Risks, Controls, Indicators and Assurance, to empower our key partners to understand and apply them accordingly.
  • Supporting the application of the Group's Operational Risk Policies and standards.
  • Embedding Operational Resilience methodologies throughout our end-to-end framework.
  • Establishing and building links with internal and external partners to identify business requirements and improve efficiency, providing appropriate support and mentorship.

What we require from the candidate:

  • An understanding of RCSA framework, associated tools and methodologies used to handle our risk environments.
  • Proven application of Operational Risk management framework.
  • Good attention to detail to ensure that we always produce high quality materials and information.
  • Able to assimilate facts and weigh against underlying risk frameworks to propose recommendations to business partners.
  • Knowledge of LBG's (or other financial services sector's) Operational Risk Framework is helpful.
