About the role:

We require a Delivery Manager that will work with the Product Development teams to create an Agile culture of delivery and to take responsibility of key projects that we wish to undertake. We firmly believe that an Agile team culture will be built on success. Whilst we use generally follow Scrum as part of our SDLC we require someone who has a proven track record of and a passion for delivery that supersedes a given methodology. Focused on helping the team remain creative and productive, working to remove any impediments that are obstructing the team from achieving its sprint goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plans, controls, and executes a project or set of related projects to meet identified business needs and deliver business value, through utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. This position will lead small-to-medium projects of moderate complexity and risk and has the following accountabilities:
  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the project lifecycle by using one of Scrum/ Kanban Agile frameworks.
  • Mobilise and lead agile project delivery teams with the necessary skills, composed of a mixture of disciplines.
  • Rigorously manage scope through a PDLC and SDLC change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits using agile principles/ best practices/ metrics.
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder change and communication plans and engagements are developed and executed.
  • Proactively analyse variances against plan to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments. Identify signs that a project may be at risk and escalate quickly and appropriately.
  • Apply best practice project management and IT control/assurance methodologies, standards and processes including architecture, information risk management, and transition to support.

Primary Skills:

  • Solid understanding of SDLC models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
  • Experience planning and leading of Agile projects
  • Experience in Agile tooling (e.g., ADO / TFS) is preferable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage several smaller projects at once.
  • Motivate and advocate for the team while removing barriers so that the team can complete its objectives while managing pressure.
  • Work virtually in a diverse multi location organisation
  • Tailor stakeholder communications material and level of detail to the audience.
  • Remain focused and productive under pressure and recover quickly from setbacks.
