Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Planner/Analyst to work for one of the oldest motorcycle multinational brands in continuous production for over 100 years on a remote working basis. The role will require the successful candidate to liaise with stakeholders around direct sales of their products on an analytical basis.

As Sales Planner/Analyst for the United Kingdom you will be part of the Sales Team within the United Kingdom and report to the Sales and Network Development Manager for the UK. Provide all reporting and analysis for the Sales department. Protectively use performance reporting data to make recommendations to the field and management team to enable delivery of the companies' objectives. Initiate additional analysis on key metrics to identify trends and recommended actions.

As a Sales Planner/Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Design and develop a management reporting suite that supports the current and future strategic aims of the sales department
  • Run a weekly sales forecast report for motorcycles, GMA and Apparel
  • Maintain a daily/monthly/quarterly/annually spreadsheet on dealer performance against agreed targets
  • Maintain data on stock indents of motorcycles/GMA and Apparel at dealers and warehouse, as well as those in the production process
  • Capture and collate relevant statistics into the reporting suite to analyse performance of sales
  • Gain understanding of reality of retailing through close contact with dealers, area field team members and any other relevant parties
  • Through data, identify strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the business both now and in the future and propose possible corrective actions and outcomes
  • Prepare necessary data and relevant analysis to highlight key messages for internal sales meetings ? Animation of data and sales intelligence to ensure effective utilisation and presentation to internal and network audiences to ensure data has maximum impact and supports business messages
  • Carry out market analysis to identify trends amongst competitor and own business
  • Creation of simple operating standards audit document in liaison with relevant stakeholders
  • Collation of operating standards measurement, results and compliance reporting and collation of data
  • Design and develop reporting templates for area field teams to ensure accurate documentation of all activity
  • Consider and recommend activity and planning of any product lead initiatives at launch or through the life cycle
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of all analysis and reporting documents through working with dealers, field, and management team
  • Reconcile bonus payments as per the dealer trading terms and bonus programme

As a Sales Planner/Analyst you will have the following skills and experience:

A history within sales analysis and data analysis is preferred with strong communication and presentation skills and an element of projection and forecasting skills. A strong level of computer literacy is required.
