Prospectus is excited to be supporting our client, a leading London University to recruit a temporary Business Support Officer to provide an excellent service to staff and students. Supporting the academic departments on finance and purchasing, space planning & facilities, HR procedures, and other department activities except programme administration. The post will be full time (35 hours per week), and hybrid working of a minimum of two days onsite per week and the remainder remote.
In the post of Business Support Officer, you will be a key point of contact for service users providing a fast and efficient service. Acting flexibly in undertaking the variety of administrative duties in the business function. Administrative support with a range of general and ad-hoc projects, along with responding to both internal and external enquires. Undertake a range of procurement activity in accordance with Financial Procedures. Support of the visiting staff process, along with responsibility for local space and infrastructure matters such as ensuring common areas are presentable, reporting issues and ensuring their resolution. General administrative support for health and safety
In order to be considered for this post, you will have previous experience within a similar fast paced post role, ideally within a university, or similar organisation. A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft packages is essential, along with SharePoint will be required. You will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills, along with capable of managing and prioritising a varied workload, whilst working well under pressure and demonstrating a flexible attitude to work.
The post will look to start in the first week of January 2023, and has been confirmed for one month in the first instance, which would be likely to extend. Interviews will be held this side of Xmas.
