Accounts Finance Assistant

Parkinson Gray Associates are working with a well-known, leading building services group who are looking to recruit an Accounts Finance Assistant, to assisting the Finance Manager in keeping all accounting systems up to date.

Location: WF5

Salary: £20,000 - £27,000

Hours of Work: 40hrs per week Monday - Friday, full time

Office based

Previous experience of Purchase Ledger processes required.

Key responsibilities:

• Purchase invoices and Credit Notes - These are received and dealt with on a daily basis, checking that all details are correct and if any discrepancies inform the departments.
• Reconciling Supplier Statements - Upon receipt of supplier statements these are checked against the account on Sage 200, if there are any invoices missing. These need to be chases to ensure added to the correct month.
• Dealing with Supplier Queries - Dealing with either the supplier of the relevant Project manager
• Preparing Supplier Payment Runs - Weekly and Monthly Payment runs, ensuring all CIS deductions are correct. Liaising with the relevant departments and Sage
• Bank Reconciliations - Daily reconciliation against Bank Statements CIS Returns - Ensure all correct CIS deductions are reported by the deadline. Ensure all parties involved are aware of the HMRC/PAYE payments.
• Sales Invoicing - Ensure all invoices are issued complete and correctly in a timely manner
• General Office Duties - Taking telephone calls and answering general office queries

The ideal applicant will have:

• An Experience of Purchase Ledger processes.
• Proficiency using Sage 200 software.
• Hight level of IT skills, including In-depth Word and Excel experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level of organisation skill.
• Excellent attention to detail in all areas.
• Motivated and enthusiastic.
