Job Description

We are looking for a warm, resourceful, energetic and diverse team of Recovery Support Workers to join our new service Forest Road Loughborough.

We are currently offering full time, part time and waking night shifts.

Forest Road is a step-through accommodation-based service offering holistic support to up to seven Service Users. Your role will be to support individual service users, taking a person-centred approach to their care and support.

The position involves undertaking the responsibility of being a Key Worker within a team. This will enable you to plan alongside members of the person's circle of support, and to enable individuals to be happy, healthy and to be successful in achieving their wishes and aspirations. Our person-centred plans, meetings and processes are co-produced with the people we support and their families, to promote a unified approach. Together, you will set meaningful and aspirational goals which you will support our service users to move towards.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience of working with people who are experiencing mental health problems, either in a community, residential or inpatient setting. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a recovery-focused way. You will be motivated with good communication skills and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes using a person-centred recovery approach.

We provide relevant training, including accredited health and social care diplomas through our own training academy. In addition to opportunities for personal and career development, we offer a range of employee benefits and a supportive, hands-on management culture.

We welcome applications from all candidates who are committed to making a positive difference, including experienced support workers, graduates and people looking for a stimulating career path into social care.

We are a passionate, inclusive and anti-racist organisation. We embrace diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds and cultures. As a Disability Confident Employer we welcome applications from people with a disability, and as a proud Stonewall Diversity Champion we actively encourage applications from the LGBT+ community.

We would encourage you to apply to us even if you have not yet had your COVID 19 vaccine. You will be required to have your first COVID 19 vaccine prior to your interview and your second vaccine before you start work with us. This time will be used to complete post interview recruitment checks. Applicants who are unable to receive the vaccination on medical grounds are still welcome to apply with provision of their official NHS COVID pass letter of medical exemption.

We will be interviewing for this role as suitable applications are received and may close this role before the closing date upon a successful candidate being appointed.

We can only accept applications from candidates who are located in and eligible to work within the UK.
