The role:

As a Safety & Compliance Specialist (Renewables) with Sovereign Housing, you'll be providing robust management in all areas of renewables, this role will require significant technical expertise and experience in all Mechanical and Electrical workstream, as well as demonstratable high level contract management and problem solving.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • The effective management of all non-core building safety and compliance activities including but not limited to Security & CCTV Instillations, Door entry systems, Estate based elements, Pumping Stations and monitoring of the BS&C activities (non-Core) delivered by management Companies and held in Sovereign's Commercial lettings portfolios.
  • Maintaining high data quality in our Building Safety and Compliance Team.
  • Ensuring that data is held centrally for full transparency and that suitable contract arrangements are in place for the continued management all compliance elements within your defined areas, and responsible for maintaining high data quality.
  • Provide strategic renewables and non-core areas expertise and direction for the whole organisation relating to current and future assets with an eye on anticipatory awareness.

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstratable knowledge and experience of renewables and non-core management within the Housing Sector
  • Experience in technically advising, specifying, and regulatory requirements for heating and plumbing systems as well as non-core areas.
  • Demonstratable knowledge and experience of Mechanical and Electrical Management in the Housing Sector
  • A thorough understanding of the IEE Wiring regulations
  • A thorough understanding of the Mechanical & Electrical regulations
  • Ability to communicate responsibilities to data users and assure the proper use of data within their domain
  • Protecting and monitoring data against misuse and loss
  • Understanding of data breaches, associated implications and industry standards of preventing/triaging a breach
  • Ability to create, test and update process diagrams
  • Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets through own work and work driven through teams
  • Experience of working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office suite with Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
  • Membership of IOSH or other professional body
