Role: Compliance Documentation regulatory (CE and UKCA)

As Compliance Engineer, you will ensure that the solutions are compliant with CE, UKCA marking standards as well as compliant with other standards required (eg ATEX) for UK and overseas deployments.
MUST HAVE CE and UKCA marking standards experience (one of those at least).
International certifications in RoHS is also a added bonus
You will be the Compliance lead for all projects the company delivers. Your role will involve:
- Leading the process of ensuring that all the equipment, products & process systems with the relevant engineering safety standards.
- Leading and managing the process of ensuring that all the equipment, products and process systems are CE/UKCA marked in accordance with the relevant directives.
- Leading design and machinery risk assessments in line with EN standards and machinery directives for equipment and systems provided.
- Ensuring designs and projects meet all required ATEX regulations.
- Ensuring compliance documentation in place from suppliers for the products being supplied as part of projects.
- Leading risk assessment and mitigation processes in relation to compliance.
- Developing and managing all documentation systems in line with company ISO9001:2015 requirements, ensuring all systems reflect both current standards and legal requirements.
- Approval of all project and non-project documentation in line with developed current practice.
- Managing the generation of project documents, including operation manuals, test and review documents for capital equipment projects in line with company schedule.
- Compile all job packs, including key certifications and documentation and record internally, maintaining document repositories and archives (electronic and paper).
- Ensure compliance with Directive and CE Certifications.
- Collaborating with other staff to ensure our goods and services are compliant with current industry and regulatory requirements.
- Generating and maintaining standard templates for effective and efficient generation of documents, in conjunction with driving and leading Risk Assessment and improvement activities within Compliance.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance of defined products globally, drive regulatory processes and activities (such as change control) and continue to develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Liaising with Project Development teams, Marketing and Sales and Operations.
- Ensuring that timescales and regulatory pathways are fully understood and baked into the project plan.
- Preparing documentation for all regions as designated, eg, for CE marking according to the agreed timeline.
- Building relationships and negotiating as needed with relevant regulatory bodies on matters related to compliance of products undergoing development.
About You:
- Degree level or equivalent Regulatory/Quality experience
- Experience of compliance engineering, safety engineering or a related role
- Experience creating documentation compliant with various UKCA and CE directives
- Understanding of EMC, LVD (essential) & RoHS, electrical safety, WEEE, RED (desirable)
- Knowledge of compliance with key international standards as necessary
- Excellent communication skills, including strong report writing skills
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload
- Good interpersonal skills
- Flexible, open minded, and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment
- Experience within rail sector and/or energy sector (highly advantageous).
