Locum Democratic Services Officer Lincolnshire 6 months Full Time Remote Working Up to £30 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group s experienced Public Sector Legal team are recruiting for a Democratic Services Officer to join a Local Authority in the Lincolnshire region.
The Local Authority is seeking a candidate to join their team with full-time availability for an initial duration of 3 months with the likelihood of extension. Candidates offering part-time availability will also be considered. The role is remote working, however occasional office presence may be required for meetings.
An hourly rate up to £30 Umbrella is offered for this opportunity, however this is dependent upon the individual s relevant experience.
The Authority is looking for someone who has experience working with Members, Counsellors and other relevant stakeholders. It is important that the successful candidate has a firm grasp of Democratic Services processes within Local Government.
Duties for this role may include:
- Providing advice and guidance as required
- Attending in person committee meetings
- Liaising with departmental contacts as required
- Preparing agendas and the related service meetings and being capable of producing minutes
- Managing and delivering the servicing of Council, Cabinet, Committees, Sub-Committees in their decision making processes
- Ensuring all meetings conform to legal requirements and in accordance with the Council s Constitution, corporate standards and relevant procedures and processes.
