The My Sky App Family is at the heart of providing outstanding customer service through both the iOS and Android apps which touch every part of a Sky customer's experience. We tackle a wide range of problems creatively and no two days are the same. You will be joining a diverse team where the focus is on collaboration, doing what's best for the customer and our people, and having fun whilst we do it

• Provide leadership in the design and development of a new React Native application for Android and iOS.
• Work with the Principal Engineer to drive the technical direction and the improvement of tools and processes across teams
• Champion testing, code quality, accessibility, and standard methodologies as well as mentoring individuals
• Facilitate and support with the technical analysis, solution design and integration-based phases of delivery
• Coach and mentor Senior Developers and Developers, helping them to thrive in their career
• Play a proactive role with regards to the setup and ongoing maintenance of effective monitoring and alerting across the app
• Drive continuous improvement within a self-regulating team
• Assist in creating high quality software using Agile methodologies
• Work with colleagues from other platforms such as iOS and Android
• Support with the recruitment process - identifying skills gaps and playing an active role towards the recruitment of excellent candidates into technical roles

• Strong experience with React Native and TypeScript
• Technical leadership / mentoring experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide written & verbal updates tailored to your audience
• A passion for driving the quality, performance and resilience of the app technology
• Depth in knowledge of software engineering standard methodology and non functional requirements
• Experience with producing ADRs, evaluating technologies and an aim to push the team with regards to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
• Knowledge and experience of a wide range of Agile methodologies and best practices (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc
